Summer Step Up Materials

Here are your guidelines
for Summer Step-Up
-
Summer step up is a
program created for all students to have fun with activities that are
going to help them get ready for 4th Grade.
-
On the attached
calendar, you will find guidelines for you to follow throughout the
summer. If your child completes 50 of the activities throughout the
summer, including Rocket Math level A-M, and turns in the signed
calendar/map, they will get the opportunity to have a Wii or an
inflatable party to be held one of the first day’s of school. Their
name will also go in a drawing for a chance to receive a DS.
-
For every Rocket
Math level passed, please color in a letter on the rocket as well as a
state. Please label the state as well.
-
For every calendar
activity completed, please color in the remaining states of the United
States. You should also find the capital of those states.
-
On Sunday, you will
find the guideline for the week of what your child can read. These are
genres that we will be reading in 4th grade.
-
On Monday, you will
find the multiplication math facts that your child should be working on
for the week. Thursday they should try to quiz over those facts. If
they pass, color in a state and find the capital for it.
-
Keep track of the
activities that you complete throughout the summer. On the first day of
school or at open house, you can bring the packet with you for your
teacher to look over. Your name will then be added to the party and the
chance to win the DS.
